This is a beautifully crafted piece. It definitely has some more heft than the Wireless On Hit Wonder. I also have and Old head Terp hammer. The Universal baller has great airflow similar to a WOHW but with enhanced flavor compared to the WOHW. I am committed to it because I ordered the injector head adapter kit. Between My Old Terp Hammer and the UB w/ hammer conversions I have all the basses covered. I like to have two hammers heating at all times. I did find the UB hammer turned upside down sits firmly onto of the Old Head glass injector bowl. It's a littler further from the flower but it still works. until something ground breaking comes out this hammer with the accessory heads will cover all the bases.
This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Where it falls short for me but not in a bad way is the matrix bowl. it is a well crafted and beautiful piece but you are forced to by the hammer this way unless you want to parts the hammer together which comes to $285 alone. I don't feel like I'm getting anything extra with the matrix bowl considering there is an all glass diffuser bowl option available which are really nice. Definitely Include one with your order. The matrix bowl is far more difficult to clean and clogs more easily than the all glass one piece bowl available. I would much rather it be something different like a metal composite bowl that can travel better with less likeliness of braking. I don't feel a metal matrix bowl would detract from the performance or flavor to not have that as an option.
The glass bowl whether matrix or one piece after market are really nice and give great airflow. I do prefer a glass screen but you will find you will need an ash catcher of some sort in your path. I prefer a dry ash catcher. Makes a huge difference in water piece maintenance.
Bottom line this is a beautifully crafted piece that brings great flavors unlike my other pieces and hits like a hammer. The UB hammer has the adaptability with available aftermarket accessories to be used with several types of diffuser and injector bowls available. I can use this as injector in conjunction with my OHTH and always have a hot hammer on the ready.
I do feel at this price that the 14mm matrix bowl post could be included and a little meatier nicer handle could have been included to really set it apart from the pack. I don't think it's possible to not be impressed by Universal Baller Hammer. Once the accessory heads arrive the WOHW will either go back in a box or I will give it to a friend because this is a WOHW killer.
